Copying a Personal Dictionary

The words you enter in the personal dictionaries are saved in .atq and .xml files whose names correspond to those displayed in the list of personal dictionaries.

To find a personal dictionary, in Windows and Linux, select File in the Antidote menu bar, then Show dictionary in Explorer… On a Mac, click on Show in Finder in the Action menu below the list of dictionaries.

These files are created by Antidote itself, and only Antidote can change them. They contain all the new words you have added, along with their definitions. These files are very important, so make sure not to delete them accidentally as you would lose all the words you have added. It’s best to back up these files regularly.
