Correcting a Text in Antidote Web

  1. Type or paste your text in the central panel. Antidote Web will analyze it instantly.
  2. The list of detections in the panel on the right-hand side provides you with an overview of the corrector’s analysis. Click on a detection to find it in the text.
  3. The corrector’s services are presented in six views on the horizontal navigation toolbar. Antidote first presents its detections for the Language view. A colored dot shows up on the Language, Typography and Style tabs as soon as they contain a detection. The other views (Revision, Statistics and Inspection) are used to explore your text from different angles.
  4. Correct your text by reviewing the detections. Click on an underlined word or passage and a tooltip appears with the relevant explanations. Then click on the command of your choice to handle the detection (e.g., correct, ignore, edit). For more information, see the Handling a Detection section of the Antidote 11 user guide.
  5. Once you have finished correcting your text, click on the toolbar’s copy icon at the top of the screen. You can now paste your text in another application.

Tip — You can retrieve the latest version of a text saved by Antidote Web by clicking on the new text icon. Recent texts are kept for a limited time.

  2. Display the list of detections by tapping the icon in the top right-hand side of the window (2a). This will give you an overview of the corrector’s analysis. Select a detection (2b) to find it in the text.

  1. The corrector’s services are presented in four tabs: Language (3a), Typography (3b), Style(3c), and under the symbol, the statistics, revision and inspection prisms. Antidote first presents its detections for the Language view. A colored dot shows up on each of the first three tabs as soon as they contain a detection.

  2. Correct your text by reviewing the detections. Tap an underlined word or passage (4a) and a banner will appear at the bottom of the window with the relevant explanations. Then tap the command of your choice to handle the detection (4b). For more information, see the Handling a Detection section of the Antidote 11 user guide.

  1. Once you have finished correcting your text, click on the toolbar’s copy icon at the top of the screen. You can now paste your text in another application.

Tip — If the connection breaks during correction, you can retrieve the latest version saved by Antidote Web by clicking on the new text icon. Recent texts are kept for a limited time.
