Druide informatique is pleased to announce the release of Antidote 10 v5.1, a new free update for its writing assistance software. This version updates Antidote’s definitions, notably to reflect the results of the recent US elections, and it makes Antidote compatible with the newly released macOS Big Sur as well as with Apple’s new chips.

The version of Antidote 10 v5.1 for macOS comes as a universal binary, which means that it includes one executable file for the traditional Intel chips and another for the new Apple M1 chips. Thanks to this adaptation, Antidote 10 operates at optimum speed on the newly released Mac computers.

The linguistic improvements for the new version can also be found on Antidote Web and Antidote Mobile 4, the other applications that, along with Antidote 10, make up the multi-platform Antidote+ plans released last month.

Antidote 10 will automatically inform users of the update. Users of previous editions are encouraged to upgrade to Antidote 10 or to one of the Antidote+ plans from www.antidote.info.

Druide informatique produces and markets Antidote, the most complete writing assistance software suite available for English and French, as well as Typing Pal, the renowned typing tutorial application. The company is also the creator of WebElixir, a quality assurance service for websites. In addition to its software, Druide publishes French-language literature and reference works through its subsidiary, Éditions Druide.
