Antidote integrated with the digital logbook À petits pas
Two Québec businesses team up in service of language and childhood education
Québec businesses Druide informatique and Amisgest Technologie are pleased to announce the integration of Antidote Web into À petits pas, a digital logbook application designed to help daycare centers monitor children’s development.
Accessible from any device, À petit pas helps more than 18,000 educators in Québec record their daily observations using both text and images they then share with parents. Content recorded in the logbook can serve as the basis of the semesterly education report required by the Ministère de la Famille, which the application can also generate.
Antidote’s corrector, dictionaries and language guides are accessible from the logbook’s text fields. This immediate access to Antidote will significantly improve productivity. But according to Éric Rousseau, the president of Amisgest Technologie, it will mostly make communication with parents and the ministry more professional: “Daily notes are taken in the heat of the action, often on a tablet. For many of the educators, French is a second language. Access to Antidote will allow them to edit their writing efficiently. And this is only the beginning,” he adds, “we are already working on integrating Antidote into our four other applications.”
“The clarity of an educational record depends on the quality of the writing. This is especially important when it concerns our children! Antidote can help educators write with care, keeping parents better informed,” explains André d’Orsonnens, Chairman and CEO of Druide informatique. “À petits pas is the first daycare service application to be integrated with Antidote.”
Daycare services using À petits pas that are already subscribed to Antidote Web will immediately benefit from this integration at no additional cost. To get Antidote Web, you can obtain a quote directly from Druide informatique or, better yet, from UNNO, Amisgest Technologie’s partner specializing in technical support for organizations.
Druide informatique produces and markets Antidote, the most comprehensive writing assistance software suite available for English and French, as well as Typing Pal, the renowned typing tutorial application. The company is also the creator of WebElixir, a quality assurance service for websites. In addition to its software, Druide publishes French-language literature and reference works through its subsidiary, Éditions Druide.
Launched in 2011, Amisgest Technologie offers a complete suite of five software products designed to optimize the management of daycare services. It provides more than 1500 establishments with solutions that can be upgraded to meet new government regulations and the needs of early childhood education providers.
