Free Updates for the Entire Antidote Product Line

Druide informatique announces the release of free updates for Antidote, its renowned writing assistance software. These updates make the generative AI Reformulation feature more adaptable, improve both the English and French correctors and add thousands of new entries to the dictionaries.

New Reformulation-Boosted Corrections

With Antidote 12 v2, users who have an Antidote+ subscription can use Reformulation to correct discontinuities, verbless sentences and errors that previously needed manual correction, such as redundant clichés. In the Style view, users can use Reformulation to fix specific issues, like avoiding repetitions, livening up a commonplace verb or changing a passive, impersonal, negative or wordy construction.

Even More Flexible Rephrasing

Antidote already provided reformulations for various text segments. But now, users can choose to replace specific parts directly from the tooltip. They can also choose to rephrase a passage while correcting their text without switching to Reformulation mode. This is particularly useful when correcting a text directly in the browser with Live Correction.

Improved Correction

Users can now benefit from more apt corrections. The corrector provides more accurate detections of abrasive tone and has a better understanding of legal language.

Enhanced Dictionaries and Guides

The dictionaries have 2100 new words and expressions, such as altcoin, epistocracy and couch coach. The update also provides 20,000 new word combinations, 41,000 new synonyms and the 30 new World Heritage Sites. New etymological notes explain various enigmatic expressions, like with bated breath and at sixes and sevens. The guides include many updated articles as well as six new articles, on anaphoric reference and legal language, for example.

The French dictionaries have 2000 new words and expressions, like agriculture verticale, bière de glace and champartie, 20,000 new word combinations and 16,000 new synonyms. Users whose Antidote handles both English and French can access 65,000 new translations for words, expressions and combinations, as well as six new articles in the bilingual guides.

Improved Integrations

With a universal connector offered through AppSource, integrating Antidote with Microsoft 365 is simpler and faster. When correcting HTML files, Antidote now handles the alt, title and placeholder attributes. It also recognizes tables, lists and the verb, lstinline and newcommand commands in LaTeX files.

Updates for the Entire Product Line

Antidote Web includes most of the Antidote 12 v2 new features, and Antidote Mobile benefits from the same expanded dictionaries and guides. Antidote 12 will automatically prompt users to download the update, and the App Store will do the same for Antidote Mobile. Antidote Web has already been updated.
