Free Updates for the Entire Antidote Product Line

Druide informatique announces the release of Antidote 12 v3, which comes with an array of free updates for the entire writing assistance software’s product line. These updates perfect the generative AI Reformulation feature, improve both the English and French correctors and add thousands of new entries to the dictionaries.

Improved Reformulation

The latest version makes Reformulation mode better at eliminating repetitions and staying more faithful to the text in the Rewrite and Retouch views for users with access to this feature. A new setting prevents the reformulation of segments in italics and quotes.

More Precise Corrections

Users can enjoy improved corrections, including alerts on potentially unfamiliar time zone abbreviations. Live Correction, now available in more contexts on the web, better recognizes that a period will be typed to end a sentence currently being written.

Richer Dictionaries and Guides

All dictionaries are updated with new entries: 2350 words and expressions, such as memeify, solarpunk and angel’s share, 25,000 synonyms, 4500 etymologies and 53 etymological notes of enigmatic expressions, such as in a pickle. Six articles—on time zones, for example—have been added to the guides.

As for the French dictionaries, 1500 words and expressions have been added, such as géonef, taquéria and part des anges, as well as 5000 etymologies and 6 guide articles. Users whose Antidote handles both English and French can access 16,600 additional translations for words, expressions and combinations, as well as 12 new articles in the bilingual guides.

Improved Integrations

Antidote syncs faster with Microsoft Word and handles formatting better. The LibreOffice connector updates automatically and provides greater stability. Antidote Web now works with Safe Exam Browser, used by schools to control exam conditions.

Awaited Additions

IT managers and everyone mindful of online security will enjoy multi-factor authentication. Windows users can reduce eye strain with dark mode. Antidote now runs faster on Windows 11 computers with an ARM64 processor thanks to a new executable file dedicated to this architecture.

Updates for the Entire Product Line

Antidote Web includes most of the Antidote 12 v3 new features, and Antidote Mobile benefits from the same expanded dictionaries and guides. Antidote 12 will automatically prompt users to download the update, and the App Store will do the same for Antidote Mobile. Antidote Web has already been updated.
