Volume 2 of Antidote : le jeu Is Hitting the Shelves
Tomorrow, Druide informatique will launch Antidote : le jeu — volume 2 at the Salon du Jeu et du Jouet in the City of Québec. This French-language trivia game features 500 new general-knowledge questions following the same formula that made volume 1 a hit.
Both volumes are stand-alone. In each instalment, Antidote’s creators have drawn on its expansive dictionaries to come up with entertaining questions and eye-opening answers.
Created for the whole family (12 years and older), this second opus also consists of 100 cards. Each card features five general-knowledge questions, divided into five categories: Embarras du choix, Avis de recherche, Anagramme, Coup double and Expression corporelle. While having fun is the primary objective of the game, you’re guaranteed to learn a new word or an intriguing expression.
Cooperation takes centre stage. Up to ten people form two teams to play matches lasting from 30 to 60 minutes. The microsite antidotelejeu.com provides downloadable resources, including a sheet of variations on the rules explaining how to play in pairs and in the classroom.
You can buy volumes 1 and 2 from a number of Canadian resellers for the suggested retail price of $29.95 each. For a limited time, volume 1 also comes free inside boxed Antidote+ Personal ($59.95) and Antidote+ Family ($99.95) packages.
