Understanding Roles in the Organization
Each account must be assigned a role in the organization. It defines the extent to which that user can manage other accounts in the Organization Client Portal. It is recommended to assign users a role in the organization when you first create their accounts. However, you can assign one at a later stage.
There are four different roles.
- Administrator — Users with this role can access the full version of the Organization Client Portal and are granted full management privileges. A single organization can have multiple administrators.
- Technician — Users with this role can access the full version of the Organization Client Portal, but they cannot add administrators or other technicians.
- Group supervisor — Users with this role can access a simplified version of the Organization Client Portal for the groups of which they are a member, plus basic user privileges.
- User (basic) — Users with this role can access a simplified version of the Organization Client Portal where they can find their personal settings, a link to Antidote Web if they have an been granted access to it, and installers if they are authorized.
Tip — Assign newly created accounts the basic user role if you only want to grant them Antidote access.
Notes
— If you have a per-device Antidote license, you can only assign administrator and technician roles since there are no user accounts.
— A user’s role and their Antidote access are independent of each other. You can assign a user any role without giving them access to Antidote.
