Deployment in an Organization

Deployment in an Organization / Installing the Software—Administrators / Automated Deployment on Multiple Devices / Configuring and Activating / Activation

Activation

You can use the Deployment Manager to deploy the organization’s Antidote 12 per-device license (using a serial number) and activate Antidote 12 automatically. Similarly, you can use the Deployment Manager to deploy the organization’s Antidote 12 school site license (using a serial number).

If your organization has an Antidote Pro subscription or Antidote Pro school site license, Antidote is activated once a user with a valid subscription logs in. Use the Deployment Manager to streamline the login process for users.

Customizing the Antidote Pro Login Process

If your organization has an Antidote Pro subscription or Antidote Pro school site license, you can customize users’ login experience with the Deployment Manager.

When you get to the General > Activation step, select Antidote Pro (using identifiers) to display user login settings.

Configure the options for Microsoft Entra ID.

You can also input your organization’s domain names. This allows you to block accounts external to the organization from using Antidote on devices configured by the organization. This way, only user accounts with configured domain names will be available during authentication.

Advanced Options for Microsoft Entra ID

If your organization uses Microsoft Entra ID as an identity provider and you have set up single sign-on with SAML, you can use the Deployment Manager to further personalize users’ login experience.

If users each have only one Entra account, you can use single sign-on (see the next section).

If users have multiple Entra accounts, you have the option to do the following:

  • Have the identifier field automatically fill out with the primary account username.
  • Show the account picker so users can choose which account to use.

Using Windows’ onboard browser (msedgewebview2.exe) enables Windows single sign-on with Antidote. If you disable the use of the onboard browser, users will log in using their default browser.

Single Sign-On (SSO) With Entra

Single sign-on can be carried out without user intervention. This makes Antidote easier to use on shared workstations or in classrooms without assigned seats.

To enable this, your organization and users must meet the following conditions:

Organization
  • Deploy Antidote 12 v4 or a later version
  • Use Microsoft Entra ID as an identity provider
  • Configure SAML protocol for users’ Druide accounts
  • Enable the following options with the Deployment Manager:
    • “Automatic connection with the account credentials for the current Windows session”
    • “Use Antidote’s onboard browser for authentication (msedgewebview2.exe)"
  • Use Entra joined or Entra hybrid joined Windows devices
  • Request that users log in to their Windows devices with the same account they will use for Antidote
Users
  • Accept the privacy policy and conditions of use
    • Each user only needs to do this once.
    • This step can be completed in the onboard browser when using Antidote for the first time.
  • Not have a personal Druide account linked to the email address used for the Entra account
    • If they do, users must transfer this account to the organization or change the email address used for their personal account (learn more about this special case).
    • This step can be carried out in the onboard browser when using Antidote for the first time.
    • The account status in the Organization Client Portal must not be “Requires action”.
Multi-Factor Authentication
  • The Entra multi-factor authentication is disabled for the device, location or application through a conditional access strategy.
    OR
  • The user logged in with multi-factor authentication on the device.

Antidote 12 Per-Device License

If your organization has an Antidote 12 per-device license or an Antidote 12 school site license (two licenses with a serial number), you can deploy the license’s details using the Deployment Manager.

At the General > Activation step, select Antidote 12 (using a serial number) to configure your organization’s license.

Enter the following details about the license:

  • The administrator’s first and last names
  • The organization’s name
  • The serial number
  • The quota code
